I am a medical student who fled Ukraine as a result of the war. As a nanny, my primary responsibility is to provide childcare and support for families by creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children. My experience comes from take care of my little cousins(Age 1, 3. and 6). My daily responsibilities included providing a structured routine that included healthy meals, educational activities, and playtime. During the day, I would also manage the children's schedule and routines, including nap times, meals, and homework. I also took on additional responsibilities such as light housekeeping, laundry, and grocery shopping to help the family.
In my experience, communication with the family was also crucial. I would communicate with them regularly to provide updates on the children's progress, discuss any concerns, and ensure that we were on the same page regarding their care.
In summary it has been an interesting experience caring for children.
