I am deeply passionate about working with pre-school and primary school children, as well as youth. I thrive on meeting new challenges and adapting to different environments. I take great joy in supporting children as they grow, explore, and learn about the world around them, and I am dedicated to providing a nurturing and stimulating environment for them.
Having extensive experience in educational research for children from a conventional and non-traditional educational background has enabled me to homeschool my own children, all GCSE subjects from Grade 0 to 8, using the Cambridge and South African curriculum. I have successfully completed their homeschooling in June 20024.
Several years ago, I was employed as an English language tutor and proofreader at the University of Johannesburg, South Africa, where I tutored English to foreign undergraduate and postgraduate students as well as prepared various educational materials to assist them with mastering English comprehension, writing, and grammar skills. I have also completed my Bachelor of Arts in English and Linguistics at the University of South Africa, Pretoria, in 2002.
Working with people from diverse backgrounds during my homeschooling years and full-time employment has enriched me with the ability to counsel and provide emotional support to children and youth in highly complicated and demanding situations.
